Jacob Epstein Sculpture

Description: By 1910, after the premiere of his opera Macbeth, the Swiss Jewish composer Ernest Bloch (1880-1959) had achieved musical prominence. Epstein and Bloch enjoyed stormy conversations during the sittings for the bust, which conveys the composer's alertness and dynamism.
