Center for Creative Photography - University of Arizona

"The fine print art collection of the Center for Creative Photography is one of the finest in the world, with more than 80,000 photographs representing more than 2,000 photographers, including CCP's archives. Although the collection's main strength is photography by twentieth-century American and Mexican artists, CCP holds significant collections of nineteenth- and twentieth-century photography from around the world. Some of the photographers in the art collection include Ansel Adams, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Richard Avedon, Ernest Bloch, Josef Breitenbach, Dean Brown, Wynn Bullock, Harry Callahan, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Andreas Feininger, William Mortensen, Marion Palfi, Aaron Siskind, W. Eugene Smith, Frederick Sommer, Peter Stackpole, Edward Steichen, Paul Strand, Tseng Kwong Chi, Laura Volkerding, and Edward Weston."

ERIC JOHNSON discovered Ernest Bloch's photographs and worked on them and wrote the article published in Aperture in 1971.  He worked with Bloch's daughters and son-in-law to bring Bloch's photographs into the public eye.
